Every ship has a different sensor strength. Each one is colored for a simple look when buy them, if you cant' remember the name, remember the color.
Gallente, ORE, Serpentis are Magetometric.
Caldari and Guristas are Gravimetric.
Minmatar and Angel ships are Ladar.
Amarr, Sansha, and Blood Raiders are Radar.
